When should I replace a match?

Edited

Below is a guide on when and how to replace collaborations on our platform.

After matching with a creator on Social Cat, effectively managing the collaboration is essential to ensure the best results for your brand.

A collaboration can be replaced after 48 hours to allow creators enough time to respond, but it cannot be replaced if this time hasn't passed.

If the creator has not replied after 24 hours of being matched with your brand, you can send them a follow-up message via Inbox. A gentle reminder often works.

Alternatively, you can wait 72 hours after the initial match and follow up. However, we highly recommend replacing the collaboration if there's no response within this timeframe.

We recommend replacing a match (collaboration) if they haven't replied in 72 hours since you matched on the platform. During this time frame, you can also send them one to two follow-ups.

Doing so lets you make the most of your monthly quota and find a creator more aligned with your brand. This article teaches you how to replace collaborations.

If you have marked a collaboration as Pending Shipping- you will need to allow 10 days before you are able to replace this. This is to give creators time to receive your product and create content for your brand.

If the creator has received your product and confirm but still not published- please do not wait longer than one month before replacing and reporting this creator.

You may have an agreement with the creator that you want them to use the product for one month for example before posting, which is why we allow a maximum of two months to replace a match but this is not recommended as we need to remove any uncooperative creators as soon as possible.

In summary:

  • Take action: Replacing unresponsive creators ensures you can focus only on active collaborations. If there's no response in 72 hours, replace the collaboration.

  • Communication: Always follow up with creators through the Inbox before replacing the collaboration. One to two messages are enough.

  • Please always report creators who break the agreement and leave honest feedback so we can keep Social Cat a safe space for brands
