What should I do if a brand refuses to pay after a collaboration?

We recommend following these steps:
Follow up with the brand via Inbox. We would recommend that you follow up to three times once every three days.
Inform the brand that failing to pay the agreed amount might result in canceling their membership, depending on the circumstances.
To protect yourself from these situations, we recommend:
Make sure to have a contract drafted that includes deliverables, a timeframe and the amount agreed for this collaboration.
Check the reviews for the brands you're working with to see if you spot any suspicious behavior for previous collaborations.
Consider watermarking the content before publishing. While this is not a common practice, you can consider this for extra protection. After you create the content and watermark it, upload the content on the platform, showing the brand this is completed. Ask for a full payment or half the payment before taking the watermark down and publishing the content. Once this is received, publish it on social media and upload it on the platform.
Leave a review for this brand in case you don't get paid to flag this to other creators as well.
